Fabrication Support Opportunities
Sanders • Cutters • Finishers • Builders
Elon’s Custom Furniture works through clear systems, defined standards, and repeatable processes. We’re building fabrication support roles designed for people who value quality, structure, and consistency.
These roles are project-based subcontract opportunities, not employment.
Who This Is For
These roles are a good fit if you:
- Enjoy hands-on shop work (cutting, sanding/prep, or finishing)
- Prefer working within defined systems rather than improvising
- Are comfortable with inspections, stop points, and documentation
- Want skill-based work that can adapt to military life and relocation
Available Roles
- Cutter – material breakdown and cutting from provided cut lists
- Prep / Sander – sanding and surface preparation to defined standards
- Finisher – paint, stain, and finish application using approved samples
- Builder Responsible for assembly and construction of furniture pieces. Builder candidates begin by completing trial projects in fabrication support roles to learn shop systems and quality standards before moving into builder responsibilities.
Work is completed using company-provided designs, plans, systems, and quality standards.
What This Is — and What It Is Not
This opportunity is:
- Project-based subcontract work
- System-driven and quality-focused
- Structured with clear expectations
This opportunity is not:
- An employee position
- Ownership or partnership
- A direct builder position without first completing fabrication support trials
- A role with guaranteed hours or schedule
Military Family Friendly by Design
Elon’s Custom Furniture is intentionally structured to support military spouses and families.
Fabrication partners who relocate due to PCS may continue working with the company in equivalent roles as operations expand into new locations. Continuity is built through systems and standards, not location-specific arrangements.
Tools & Work Setup
Tool expectations vary by role. The company does not purchase basic personal tools.
Any shop access or role-specific setup is reviewed before moving forward.
Growth (Not Guaranteed)
Strong performers in fabrication support roles may be considered for additional opportunities within the shop over time.
Builder opportunities may be offered to individuals who demonstrate reliability, precision, and the ability to work within the shop system. Builder candidates must first complete trial projects in fabrication support roles before moving into builder responsibilities.
